The Client Pop-Up window does not appear

If the user clicks print in an application, and the pop-up window never appears, it is likely the client software has been closed.

There should be an icon in the system tray in the lower right corner of the desktop, which can be openned to show the client window. If that icon is gone, and the pop-up window is not appearing, the client has been closed.

Print jobs submitted while the client is closed ARE STILL in the queue. Restarting the client is all that is needed. There are two ways to do this.

  1. Click on the START menu and navigate to find the client software, and invoke it. This should then open the pop-up window displaying the waiting print jobs.
  2. If it is difficult to locate or start the client, simply restart the workstation. The client will load on boot-up. Print jobs paused in the queue WILL NOT be lost on restart. They can be released to print once the system has rebooted, and the authentication window should appear automatically showing the print queue.
