In most locations with Windows based computers, users will see a pop-up when initiating a print job, and will type in their VUNet ID and e-password (or alternate userid and pin for those without a VUNet ID) to authorize the print job.

In locations with Macintosh computers, the system uses a print release station, where users can swipe their Commodore Card to authorize the release of queued print requests.
